While a good contractor will break things down for you, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with some basic home building knowledge. One of the most important things is ability to understand the blueprints. There are multiple pages within a set of house blueprints, each having a specific purpose that is essential to construction:

You may think that building your own garage may seem like a daunting. And way back when I was just starting on woodworking, I’d agree with you on that. However, as I’d actually started building a garage, I remember thinking that it’s really not that hard as I thought it was.
