Alice Forbes Spear of 462 Halsey Community Garden in Brooklyn has started a group for NYC farms and gardens to discuss how to respond to the corona virus pandemic. She says, "We will discuss how to work safely at our spaces, how to share food safely and ways farms and gardens can support our communities during this crisis."
She also shares: "Thus far at Halsey, we've switched to working in very small groups observing the recommended social distancing . . . We are trying to wipe down some of the common things we touch, which often don't get sun - shed doors, locks, batteries, etc. We are brainstorming other ways we can help, aside from the usual food growing. If any of you are interested in brainstorming ideas, or just keeping in touch to figure out how to adapt, please let me know."
To join the listserv, please let us know at info@nycgreen.org and we will reach out to ask Alice to add you.
